Since 2008, Boston String Ensemble has brought live string music to more than 1,200 weddings and special events across New England. Our musicians are equally at home with classical repertoire and modern pop favorites. We combine musical artistry, thoughtful service, and experienced management to create a memorable experience for our clients, guests, and event partners.
From personalized song selections to carefully reviewed and selected string arrangements, we believe every detail matters. Our mission is to make live music feel personal, meaningful, and seamlessly integrated into your event.

From the first inquiry through the event day, we prioritize clear communication, thoughtful planning, and dependable service. We work closely with our clients to understand their vision, guide music selections, and coordinate the details that help each performance feel seamless and well suited to the event.
Our Music Selections & Arrangements
Great performances begin with great arrangements for the strings. We carefully review and select transcriptions that translate well to a string ensemble, with many written on our own. Like a well-crafted recipe, the right arrangement brings out the best in both the music and the musicians.
Our repertoire reflects an understanding of how music complements different moments and settings, from classical selections for formal gatherings to timeless pop favorites and contemporary hits. We tailor our selections to each event, featuring our clients’ requests while ensuring the music flows naturally from one piece to the next.
Our Musicians’ Experience
Boston String Ensemble is built around a small, established core team of fewer than ten musicians, along with a few trusted musicians who join us for events. We pair musicians not just based on availability, but also on musical fit and how well they work together. Several of our core members have played together for more than 15 years, building a shared musical understanding and a natural sense of collaboration. We value each musician’s experience, artistry, and dedication, and believe that thoughtful collaboration is an important part of making music together.
Our Venue & Vendor Connections
Over the years, we’ve built lasting relationships with event planners, venues, and other event professionals throughout the region. Some of these partnerships go back more than five years, reflecting the trust and collaboration we’ve built over time. We work closely with our event partners to coordinate timing, confirm logistics, and take care of the details ahead of time. We enjoy being part of a team working together to make each event come together smoothly.
